Karen Wolfe has dedicated her life to the betterment of Ward 5. Karen organized and managed the popular Take a Kid Fishing Event in Pefferlaw for seven years. It quickly became one of her most favourite things to do for the community. With the help of sponsors, hundreds of children were invited to try their hand at fishing along the Pefferlaw River at the Peninsula Resort. Each young angler was given a fishing rod, a tackle box, bait, hot dog, ice cream, a drink and an opportunity to win a great prize. And, a good time was had by all!
